2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

This 2 days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari offers a lot to discover in the shortest period, starting from the Big Four mammals. These include lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, birds, boat cruises, and many others. The game drive in the morning is mind-relaxing and a pleasant experience to see carnivorous animals. Lions, leopards, and hyenas take down game, especially buffalo, duikers, antelopes, and warthogs.

You will see browsers like elephants and grazers like buffalo in the savannah grasslands. The park is also a bird sanctuary with over 600 bird species, so you can watch different birds. You can also spot different primates, from blue to vervet to colobus.

Day 1. Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel as early as 7:00 am, brief you about the journey, and set off. You will use the Mubende-Fort Portal Road to have lunch in Kabarole district and continue to the park. Have short stopovers for scenic viewing and photography as you enjoy the ranges of Fort Portal and the Rwenzori Mountains. You can spot tens of crater lakes as you continue to the lodge. We ensure your comfort and safety by providing accommodation at a well-equipped, secure lodge. Arrive late evening and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay, where you can rest and rejuvenate for the next day’s adventures.

Day 2. Game drive and transfer back to Kampala

On this beautiful day, wake up as early as 6:30 a.m., pack your luggage, have breakfast, and prepare for an early morning game drive with a professional guide. This activity allows one to meet the Big 4 in their natural habitat. These include buffalo, Elephants, Lions, and Leopards. One can also see different bird species, especially savannah birds. The early start ensures you don’t miss any of the wildlife action.

Returning to Kampala, you can trek chimpanzees in Kalinzu or Kyambura forest. You will stop at Igongo Cultural Center, about 8km from Mbarara. You will have lunch here, visit a museum, and continue to Kampala.

A second stopover will be at the Equator, a unique experience that allows you to straddle the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. This visit, where the world is zero degrees, is a perfect opportunity for memorable photos and to buy souvenirs from the craft shops. After this, we will return to Kampala/Entebbe, marking the end of your fantastic two-day Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari.
