Begin your adventure with our 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari from Kampala, a thrilling journey through Uganda’s most popular national park. Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast around 6:30 a.m. in a comfortable safari vehicle. Leaving a bustling city behind, start a scenic drive southwest via the Masaka-Mbarara-Bushenyi road, which will take you 6-7 hours, approximately 400 km…after about two hours, you will reach the Uganda equator at Kayabwe. Stop at the Equator line for photos and a coffee break, your guide will share interesting facts about how the equator divides the Earth’s northern and southern hemispheres.

Continuing towards Mbarara, the journey offers beautiful views of rolling hills. You will stopover for lunch at (Agip Motel or Igongo Cultural Centre), which are great stops and welcoming. After lunch, you will continue through the nifty homestead of Bushenyi and enter Queen Elizabeth National Park around 3:00-4:00 pm. Check into your chosen lodge, where you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink (accommodation options include Enganzi Lodge, Parkview Safari Lodge, or Katara Lodge).

After a bit of relaxation, take a short evening community walk. You will start walking through one or more villages around Kyambura village with a local tour guide. It gives you a chance to meet local people who live near Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kyambura Gorge, and learn about their traditions, including traditional crafts and women’s groups. This walk also includes a visit to the Kyambura Gorge viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the Valley of Apes. It’s a perfect spot for taking photos and quiet reflection before concluding your walk.

Day 2: Morning Safari Drive in Kasenyi and Boat cruise on the Kazinga channel

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast at 6:00 am. Go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, one of the richest wildlife areas. The sector is home to large herds of Uganda kob, which attract predators such as lions and leopards. Your guide will help you identify animal tracks and bird species along the way, and then return to your lodge for lunch and a brief rest.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel (2 pm-4 pm), which connects lakes George and Edward. Expect to see hippos and crocodiles in the water. Herds of elephants often gather to drink, and a variety of birds, such as kingfishers and pelicans, are also present. After the cruise, visit the Bunyaruguru crater lakes area for stunning views and photo stops. Return to the lodge for evening relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Return to Kampala

Enjoy your final morning breakfast before beginning your journey to Kampala, taking in views of the tea plantation and Ankole long-horned cattle. You will still have lunch along the way at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara, then continue through Masaka, arriving in Kampala by early evening, around 6 pm. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of our 3 days Queen Elizabeth Safari starting from Kampala.
