5 Days Uganda Gorilla and Birding Safari
The 5 days Uganda gorilla and birding safari will take you to the two national parks of Uganda. A visit to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park allows you to encounter the mountain gorillas. These gorillas are among the largest primates on earth. Additionally, you will also encounter the indigenous Batwa community for cultural encounters. More so, you will explore Lake Mburo National Park – home to several bird species. Below is a detailed itinerary for the 5 days Uganda gorilla and birding safari.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On this day 1 of the 5 days of Uganda gorilla and birding safari, you will be transferred to the Bwindi impenetrable national park. During the transfer, you will make a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photography and relaxation. You will continue with the transfer to the Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community
On this day 2 of the 5 days of Uganda gorilla and birding wildlife, you will be transferred to the park headquarters of the Bwindi impenetrable national park for the briefing about the gorilla trekking. During the briefing, you will be highlighted about the dos and don’ts about the gorilla trekking. As you start the trekking, you will move in a group under the guidance of the ranger guide who will lead you to the gorilla families. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will have an hour of viewing. Then you will go ahead with the Batwa community visit who are indigenous residents of the forests with the gorillas.

Day 3: Birding within the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will start your day with an early morning transfer into the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the birding safari. During the safari, you will see many bird species since the park is home to quite many bird species. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to the Lake Mburo National Park
After your morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the Lake Mburo National Park. You will arrive at lunchtime and then head to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the evening birding session in the park. During the evening birding session, you will see some other wildlife in the park.

Day 5: Early birding safari and transfer to Entebbe
On your last day of the safari, you will have an early morning transfer to the Rubanga forest which is a diverse home to many species. During the birding session in the forest, there will be a large number of bird species recorded. You will later return to the lodge for lunch. Then you will check out and go ahead with the transfer to Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, you will either choose to be dropped at the airport for your outbound flight or at the hotel of your choice. This will mark the climax of your 5 days Uganda gorilla and birding safari.
