5 Days Uganda Primate Safari 

The 5 days Uganda primate safari will take you through Uganda safari destinations with large primates and community visits. During the safaris, Travelers will engage in chimpanzee trekking in the Kibale National Park, gorilla trekking in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and a boat cruise in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. By the time you come to the end of this trip, you will have created everlasting memories.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale National Park

You will be picked up by a company guide who will transfer you to Kibale National Park. The transfer will take through the green vegetation of the country. On arrival in Fort Portal, you will start over with lunch and then go ahead with the visit to the Tooro Kingdom Palace. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to the lodge within the park for your dinner and relaxation.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and visiting Bigodi community

After your early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking. You will go ahead to the park to track the chimpanzees. Along the way, you will meet several primates including baboons, and red-tailed monkeys. Chimpanzee trekking will last for about 2 to 8 hours of the day. Then you will have one hour to view the chimpanzee. Later in the afternoon, you will visit the Bigodi community for the cultural experience and birding within Magombe Swamp. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 3: Transfer to Kisoro with a stopover in the Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day 3 of the 5 days Uganda primate safari, you will be transferred to Kisoro. During the transfer, you will make a stopover in the Queen Elizabeth National Park for the boat cruise. During the boat cruise, you will spot several wildlife like elephants, hippos, buffaloes, monitor lizards, and many others. Later you will proceed with the transfer to Kisoro. Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour

You will be transferred to the park headquarters of the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for the briefing about the gorilla trekking. During the briefing, you will be highlighted the dos and don’ts about the gorilla trekking. The activity will last for about 2 to 7 hours upon where you will meet the gorillas. In the afternoon, you will walk the Batwa Trail and enjoy amazing cultural tours. Then later, you will be transferred back to the hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali – Departure

On the last day of the safari, you will start the day with an early breakfast. You will go ahead with the transfer to Kigali.  Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have lunch and proceed to the airport for an outbound flight. This will mark the end of your 5 days Uganda primate safari.
