Details of the Uganda Group Tour

Day 1: Arrival and pick up

Meet and greet your guide/driver upon your arrival, who will brief you about this 10 days Uganda Group Safari. Your guide will help you allocate all your luggage and later transfer to the Hotel where you will spend an overnight as you welcome to Uganda.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and then embark on an approximate 4-hour journey to Murchison Falls National Park, including a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will have a guided walk as you search for the Rhinos. Later, you will meet your guide and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest and oldest National Park, in north, northwestern part of Uganda, renowned for containing the world’s most powerful waterfall and a diverse array of wildlife and scenic landscapes where you will spot a variety of animal species including lions, giraffes, leopards, elephants and buffaloes. You will also explore the bottom of Murchison Falls National Park on a boat cruise. Expect an incredible adventure. Arrive at the Lodge and check in for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Have an early breakfast at the lodge and later embark on a morning game drive in the northern part of the park, which is rich in a variety of animal species, including giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, Jackson’s heartbeats and different bird species. The morning game drive shall take you about 3 hours and later return to the Hotel for lunch.

After lunch, you will proceed for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls, where you will spot a variety of animal species such as hippos, buffalo, warthogs, and crocodiles basking in the sun. Return to the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After your breakfast, you will embark on an approximately 5-hour journey to Kibale National Park via Hoima District and have a lunch stop in Fort Portal Tourism City. Kibale National Park, in western Uganda, is Uganda’s prime chimpanzee trekking destination, renowned for having the largest population of chimpanzees and other primate species; therefore, people call it “The primate capital of the world.” Kibale National Park offers a chance to see the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, making for an incredible adventure. Arrive at the park and check in for your dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge and gather at the park headquarters for a briefing about Chimpanzee Trekking. After the briefing, park rangers will assign you to a group and lead your chimpanzee search in their natural habitats. Once the chips are located, you will spend 1 hour with the chimps and later return to the starting point.

After lunch, you will have an evening Bigodi Swamp Walk where you will spot a variety of wildlife species and different birds such as the Green-breasted Pitta, Red-chested Owlet, Scaly breasted, Pale-breasted and Brown Illadopsis, Red-capped and Blue-shouldered Robin-chat, Fire-crested and Brown-chested Alethe, Forest Robin, Buff-spotted, Brown-eared, and Yellow-crested Woodpecker. Return to the lodge and enjoy a peaceful evening.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy a restful breakfast at the lodge with fresh breakfast views of the lush surroundings and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is renowned as a medley of wonders because of its tree-climbing lions, which make the park popular and most visited. The park is also home to other wildlife species, including lions, elephants, Uganda Kobs and 600 bird species.

During the transfer, you will have a scenic stopover at the Kikorongo Equator point, where you will collect photo moments. Proceed to your accommodation for overnight and dinner.

Day 7: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Rise early in the morning with a mouth-watering breakfast and proceed for an early morning game drive to the northern part of the park, which is rich in a variety of animal species. You will spot various animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and different bird species. Later, you will proceed to your lunch.

After Lunch, you will embark on a thrilling Kazinga Channel boat cruise, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. You will spot crocodiles basking in the sun, hippos lounging in the water, and different water bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha

Enjoy an early breakfast and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector of the park for a tree-climbing lions experience, and later proceed to the park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for harboring over half of the world’s mountain gorillas and is in the southwestern part of Uganda. Get ready to encounter the mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Arrive at the park and check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking  in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest       

Have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and gather at the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. You will have a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers about rules and regulations to follow while observing the gorillas and trekking through the forest.

Begin the actual gorilla trekking experience as you navigate through the forests in search of the gorillas. You will see a variety of wildlife species and spot different bird species. Once you find the gorillas, you may stay with them for 1 hour as you learn more about their way of life and collect photo moments. Descend to the starting point where you will get your gorilla trekking certificates. Return to the lodge for relaxation and a peaceful dinner.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport and Departure

Enjoy a restful breakfast, check out, and later embark on a thrilling 8-hour drive to Entebbe International Airport via the Uganda Equator for a lunch stop, and later proceed to the Airport. Arrive and check in for departure as you conclude your 10 days Uganda Group Safari.
