4 Days Rwenzori Hike to Bujuku

Day 1: Mihunga Gate to Nyabitaba Camp
You will start your exciting 4 days hike at Mihunga Gate. Early in the morning, you will meet your guide. With your backpack ready and boots on, you will feel ready for the adventure ahead. As you begin the hike, the trail will take you through beautiful forests filled with tall trees and colourful flowers. The air will be fresh. The sound of birds singing fills it. You will walk steadily, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature around you.
After a few hours, you will reach Nyabitaba Camp. Here, you will rest and enjoy a warm meal while sharing stories with your fellow hikers by the campfire. As the sun sets, the stars will light up the sky, and you will feel grateful for the day.
Day 2: Nyabitaba to John Matee Camp
On the second day, you will wake up to the sound of nature and the smell of breakfast cooking. After eating, you will pack your things and prepare for another day of hiking. The trail will lead you higher into the mountains. You will walk through more forests and open areas, with each step revealing new views of the stunning landscape. Along the way, you might see some wildlife, adding to the excitement of the journey. By the end of the day, you will arrive at John Matee Camp. You will relax. After dinner, you will sit around the fire, feeling happy and tired from the day’s hike.
Day 3: John Matee Camp to Bujuku Camp and Descend to John Matee Camp
On the third day, you will wake up and prepare for an important hike to Bujuku Camp. After breakfast, you will pack up and start walking. The trail will take you through beautiful scenery. You will see lakes and mountains, and everything will feel magical. After some time, you will finally reach Bujuku Camp. Here, you will take a moment to admire the views and breathe in the fresh air.
After resting, you will begin your descent back to John Matee Camp. The hike back will be easier, and you will enjoy the sights once more. When you arrive, you will feel satisfied with the day’s adventures and ready for one more night in the mountains.
Day 4: John Matee Camp to Nyabitaba Camp and Descent to Mihunga Gate – Departure
On the last day, you will wake up early and get ready to head back to Nyabitaba Camp. After breakfast, you will pack your gear for the last hike. The path will lead you back down, back through the lovely forests. You will feel a sense of accomplishment as you reflect on all you have seen and done during your hike. Each step will take you closer to the end of your adventure.
Finally, you will reach Mihunga Gate. You will feel proud of your journey as you unpack your things and say goodbye to your new friends. This will be the end of your 4 days Rwenzori hike to Bujuku.
