Details of the Trekking Safari
Day 1: Pick u and transfer to Kibale National Park
Your guide/driver will pick you up on this day for your 5 days Uganda Gorilla and chimpanzee Trekking safari. Your guide will take you through a briefing about the tour and later embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park in western Uganda, taking you for about 5 hours. Kibale National Park is a renowned chimpanzee trekking destination and is home to over 1500 chimpanzees and 13 other primate species, including the 6 endemic species, which make it the primate capital of the world. Arrive at the park and check into your accommodation. Enjoy a relaxing lunch and a peaceful afternoon. In the evening, you may opt to take a nature walk or enjoy the serene ambience of the rainforest. End your day with dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Community Walk
After breakfast, you will drive to Kanyanchu Visitor’s Information Centre for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking. The Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers concerning the Rules and regulations to follow while observing the gorillas in their natural habitats do this. Your guides will assign you a chimpanzee family, and then you’ll begin your guided chimpanzee trekking experience, navigating the forest to find the chimpanzees.
Once you locate them, you will spend 1 hour in their presence while observing their social behavior, playful interactions, and feeding habits. Return to the starting point; you will receive your chimpanzee trekking certificate and eat lunch there.
In the afternoon, you will proceed for a community walk around Bigodi, taking you through the Bigodi wetland sanctuary and the surrounding villages, where you will learn about the local culture through traditional dances and storytelling, as well as the conservation efforts of their culture. Later, you will return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Rise early in the morning with a hearty breakfast and checkout of the lodge. Begin a scenic drive as you head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda via sightseeing in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for the largest population of mountain gorillas in the world, which makes it a famous gorilla trekking destination, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi offers a once-in-a-lifetime adventure of coming face to face with mountain gorillas in their natural habitats, thus creating an unforgettable adventure.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

On this day, you will rise early in the morning with a heavy breakfast and later gather at the park headquarters. Park rangers will brief you on gorilla trekking, including the rules and regulations for trekking through the forest, and assign you a specific gorilla family and a ranger for your security and safety.
Begin your gorilla trekking experience in search of gorillas as you spot other wildlife species. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour observing the gorillas as you watch them eat leaves, groom, and interact with themselves. Later, you will return to the starting point, meet your guide, and drive back to the lodge. In the afternoon, you may opt for a gentle walk around the community walk or enjoy scenic views around the lodge. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight.
