Virunga National Park

Kahuzi-Biega National Park

At the foot of the massive twin volcanic mountains – Biega and Kahuzi, which stride near the Kivu region and Rwanda, is where Kahuzi-Biega National Park is situated in the eastern region of D.R. Congo. The park is home to the critically endangered eastern lowland gorillas, which are significantly larger than their mountain gorilla relatives. It is accessible for trekking, and visitors can begin their activities as early as 7:00 am. Continue until a maximum of 7 hours.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, gorilla trekking licenses cost USD 400, which includes park admission, the cost of a ranger guide, and community support. Transport, lodging, and other activities are excluded.
