Mubwindi Swamp Trail

Mubwindi swamp trail is a 4-5 hour enriching trail awaiting exploration in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A guided hiking adventure through Mubwindi Swamp Trail takes you through the lush rainforest and magnificent viewpoints of the rich valleys and also the surrounding Virunga Massifs. Kashasha River Trail

The Kashasha Trail requires 4 to 5 hours if you are starting the hike from the Nkuringo to Buhoma Sector. You can also spend 6 to 7 hours starting from the Buhoma to Nkuringo. The Kashasha Trail allows you to come across some of the amazing species in the lush rainforest including species of monkeys, and birds.

Bamboo Trail

The Bamboo Trail is one of the best trails to explore on hiking adventures in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy 7 hours trekking through the Bamboo Trail as you conquer the steep area to the Rwamunyonyi hill (2607m). Expect to explore the distinct vegetation and floral species including the 14 species of plants that thrive along this trail. The Muzabajiro Loop is 3-4 hours hike an enriching loop where you can appreciate the magnificent views of the spectacular Bwindi and Virunga Volcanoes. The hike through the Muzabajiro Loop involves conquering the Rukubira Hill where the great views are guaranteed.

Ivy River Trail

Explore the 14 km trail, a full day trekking excursion where you can navigate via the ancient road in the jungles. Many mammals should be expected along this trail including the primates, birds, and colorful butterflies. Around trek through the Ivy River Trail takes between 4 and 6 hours. The Ivy Trail comes with opportunity to spot diversity of other species including blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and birds such as bronze sunbird, pale flycatchers, tiny sunbird, dusky tit, olive woodpeckers, sooty boubou, yellow bishop, and cape robin chat. Habinyanja | Railegh Trail

Habinyanja Trail is a 4-6 hour trekking trail worth exploring on hiking adventures in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A hike through the Habinyanja Trail involves navigating via the Munyanga River. It ushers hikers via the fairly steep slopes of the Habigorogoro and Riyoyi Ridge where you can be enjoying the scenic Buhoma River. Along the Habinyanja Trail, expect to come across many features including what is referred to as the African corner which takes its name from a rock which represents the Map of Africa.

The dry months are better than the wet months which are characterized by heavy rains and muddy/slippery ground. The wet season usually runs from March to May then October to November. These are the two phases of wet/rainy seasons that occur each travel calendar year.
