Our 7 Days Rwanda and Tanzania Safari allows you to kill two birds with one stone – combine Rwanda and Tanzania. Imagine exploring the vast plains of Serengeti, and then visiting the endless hills of Rwanda! Welcome to this amazing safari in East Africa. It is a chance for you to create everlasting memories. We can’t wait to see you!

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 1 begins with your arrival in Rwanda, where you’ll be welcomed and then transferred to Volcanoes National Park. After settling into your stay at a hotel Musanze, you can slow down into the trip. Whether that means resting after your journey, taking a light walk around the hotel area, or simply enjoying the cooler mountain air as you get ready for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking, Village Tour and Transfer to Kigali
On Day 2, the day centers on one of Rwanda’s most unforgettable experiences: gorilla trekking. Early in the morning, you’ll meet your guides, receive a briefing. Head into the forest in search of the gorillas. Once you find them, the trek becomes a truly immersive experience. Seeing their natural behavior up close, watching how they move through the vegetation, and taking in the rainforest atmosphere. After trekking, you’ll shift to a different kind of exploration with a visit to Ibyi’wacu Village, where you’ll learn about local life and traditions. The day then transitions into logistics as you’re transferred onward toward Kigali, where you’ll check in at a hotel and enjoy a more relaxed evening after a full day.
Day 3: Fly to Arusha and Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Day 3 moves you from Rwanda to Tanzania with a flight to Arusha, followed by your transfer into Serengeti National Park. As you head out toward the savannah, the landscape begins to transform—wide plains, open skies, and the sense that you’ve entered a world where wildlife is always on the move. You’ll settle into aLodge, with enough time in the day to get oriented and (weather and timing permitting) enjoy the first game-viewing moments that make the Serengeti famous.
Days 4-6: Full-day Game Drives in Serengeti National Park
From Day 4 through Day 6, your itinerary is built around the heart of the trip. Multiple full days in Serengeti National Park. These days are designed to maximise your chances of seeing the great variety of wildlife the ecosystem supports. Predators stalking across the plains, herds gathering near water sources. These moments feel cinematic as the landscape stretches in every direction.
Each day’s schedule typically balances early-morning viewing when animals are most active. With slower-paced afternoon opportunities depending on your lodge routine and park conditions. You’ll return each night to a lodge, using the comfort of the lodge as a base between drives. Sharing stories from the day, soaking in the atmosphere, and waking up again eager for what the savannah will reveal next.
Day 7: Transfer to Arusha and Departure
Finally, Day 7 is your departure day. You’ll transfer back to Arusha, leaving Serengeti behind as you make your way for your flight home. Depending on your departure time, there may be a chance for a final look around Arusha. This marks the end of your 7 Days Rwanda and Tanzania Safari.
