Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is located in northwestern Uganda. Additionally, it is one of the largest national parks in Uganda that travelers on their safaris can encounter. In this park, travelers can engage in the sport fishing safaris on the lake Albert and the river Nile. To engage in the sport fishing in this park, travelers must book a permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority through reliable tour operators. Uganda Wildlife Authority only sells these permits to these tour operators.
Sport fishing permits in Murchison Falls National Park cost 50 USD for foreign residents and foreign non-residents,20,000 UGX for East African residents, 150 USD for foreign residents and non-residents, and 60,000 UGX for East African residents. Please note that the above prices exclude park entrance fees.
Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is located in western Uganda. More so, it is the smallest savannah park in Uganda. In this park, travelers can also engage in the sport fishing safaris. The sport fishing permit includes 15 USD for a day for foreign nonresidents and foreign residents, 20000 UGX for East African residents, 25 USD for 4 days for foreign nonresidents and foreign residents, and 60000 UGX for East African residents for 4 days. Also, these costs exclude the park entrance fees.
