Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Afternoon Boat Cruise
Don’t worry—our experienced guide driver will ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey. Your adventure begins with a pick-up from the hotel at 8:00 a.m. After a hearty breakfast, the guide driver will provide a comprehensive briefing before we head to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey will take about four hours, including a stopover at the Equator for memorable photos.
Arrive around 1 p.m., check in at the hotel, have a quick lunch, and then go for a Boat cruise. Enjoy this activity as you will be able to see most animals alongside water banks, especially the hippos, crocodiles, water birds like African jacana, geese, and pelicans; find buffaloes drinking water, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and more. This activity takes about 2-3 hours. In the late evening, please return to your hotel (Mpogo Safari Lodge)for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and cycling
Wake up at 7:00 am, have breakfast, get a short briefing, and embark on a game drive. You will be able to see a variety of wildlife, such as zebras. Meet herds of buffalo, schools of impalas, and families of spotted hyenas. You will be pleased by how these animals associate and hunt, mainly the hyenas and leopards, as they wind up in their hunting operations. Return to the hotel for relaxation and lunch. In the evening at around 3:00 pm, you will have a cycling adventure where you will be escorted by a ranger, cycling through the forest of wild animals. This activity is very special and unique compared to other parks’ activities.

Day 3: Bird watching and transfer back to Kampala
You will wake up as early as 7:00 am, have breakfast, pack your luggage, and embark on a birdwatching experience. You can spot different bird species since the park is home to over 350 species, including rare but regularly seen species like African Finfoot, African green pigeon, and papyrus gonolek: Narina trogon, Ross’s turaco, and many others. There is also a chance to see as many birds making nests, chirping in the tree branches. During this activity, you may also see primates like African blue monkeys, baboons, oribis, zebras, and buffalo. After this activity, embark on your journey back to Kampala.
