Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to the Lake Mburo National Park and afternoon boat cruise

After your pick up from the airport, you will be transferred to the Lake Mburo National Park which will be about 4 hours of drive.  On arrival in the park, you will start over with lunch and then head to Lake Mburo for the boat cruise. While on the boat cruise, you will see several wildlife like buffaloes, hippos, and many others. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park for the early morning game. During the game drive, you will see different wildlife like impalas, zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes, and on a lucky day, you will also see the leopards. You will go ahead with the transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival in the park, you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and community visit

While in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will proceed to the park for the gorilla trekking. The gorilla families are only visited once a day and more so a group of 8 people is allowed to visit a family. As you meet the gorillas, you will have one hour with them at a distance of 7 meters. Then later, you will transfer to the Batwa community for the cultural encounter. This will mark the end of day 3 of your 6 days Uganda mid-range safari.

Day 4: Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your early morning breakfast, you will go ahead with the transfer to the southern sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival in the park, you will start over the game drive in the Ishasha sector. While in the sector, you will be able to see the tree-climbing lions and other wildlife like leopards, kobs, elephants, and many others. Then later you head to the northern sector to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon Boat Cruise

On your second last day of the 6-day Uganda mid-range safari, you will head to the Kasenyi plains in the northern sector of the park for the game drive or the game viewing.  While in the northern sector, you will see wildlife like lions, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, kobs, and many others. Then in the afternoon, you will go ahead with the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The wildlife to be seen in the park includes the monitor lizards, buffaloes, hippos, and many others.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Entebbe

On the last day of the 6-day midrange safari, you will be transferred to the Kyambura Gorge for the chimpanzee trekking. On arrival, you will start over with the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking dos and don’ts. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will be transferred to Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, you will either be transferred to the airport or the hotel of your choice. This will mark the end of your 6 Days Uganda Mid-Range Safari.
