Day 1: Pick up & travel to Lake Nakuru NP (Kenya)
After you have enjoyed a delicious breakfast, meet your driver guide for a warm greeting and briefing about this special 10 Days Kenya Safari. Arrive early and enjoy lunch, relax then set off for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru NP isn’t only famous for its huge concentration of lesser and greater flamingos, but also home to black and white rhinos.
Day 2: Full day wildlife tour in Lake Nakuru N.P
Enjoy a combined wildlife viewing and birding tour in Lake Nakuru National Park (LNNP). Lying along the rift valley area, Lake Nakuru NP is a rich habitat for big game and other wildlife species. The expected animal sightings on Lake Nakuru NP tour include the Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, zebras, waterbucks, cape buffaloes, impalas, black & white rhinos, spotted hyenas, lions, leopards, gazelles, birds such as lesser & greater flamingos, white pelicans, blue-eared starling, hottentot teal, and more. After a long day wildlife tour drive back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to watch wildebeests in Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will meet the driver guide for pick up and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve. This extensive nature reserve is found in Narok County, rift valley area and getting here takes 4-5 hours’ drive from Lake Nakuru N. Park.
Day 4: Full-Day wildlife tour in Maasai Mara
Pick up at your respective lodge and set off with packed lunch to explore Masai Mara vast plains. You will be guaranteed of incredible animal sightings and full day wildebeest migration experience if this tour falls around July, August to September. Maasai Mara N. Reserve’s wildlife to see besides wildebeests include the Thompson’s gazelles, bat-eared foxes, giraffes, impalas, zebras, topis, cheetahs, rhinos, hyenas, lions, leopard, jackals, and birds. At the Mara River, you will also keep an eye on abundant hippo population and Nile Crocodiles.
Day 5: Second wildlife expedition at Masai Mara
Set off for a hot air balloon tour for aerial game viewing in the Maasai Mara Reserve. This may come with bush breakfast and expect to enjoy the most of aerial view of this reserve’s abundant wildlife including the big 5 game, wildebeest and landscape. After the balloon tour, proceed with a normal game drive and return later in the afternoon.
Day 6: Amboseli NP wildlife tour
You will be transferred from Masai Mara to Amboseli National Park. The long day road trip will take about 7 to 8 hours’ drive inclusive of en-route lunch. When you arrive, you will continue to the observation hill to enjoy the clear view of Amboseli NP, its scenic swamps and wildlife. At the comfort of your lodge, view the snow-capped Kilimanjaro Volcano at the background.
Day 7: Full Day tour in Amboseli
After having a hot cup of tea/coffee, leave the lodge for a full-day game viewing in Amboseli N/Park. This park is endowed with wildlife and today’s sightings will include buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and birds, etc. During the afternoon game wildlife drive, you will pay a visit to a swamp below observation hill.
Day 8: Amboseli to Tsavo West NP
Pick up by your professional driver and you will head off to Tsavo West National Park. This will be one-two hours’ drive and expect to get here early then embark on a morning game drive. Expected wild animal species to be spotted in Tsavo West NP include lesser Kudus, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Burchell’s zebras, hartebeest, elands, gazelles, waterbucks and more. Settle for lunch in the lodge and an afternoon wildlife viewing includes touring the rhino sanctuary and also the Mzima springs.
Day 9: Tsavo East National Park trip
Connect from Tsavo West to Tsavo East, home to large herds of red elephants and other wildlife including leopards, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, Kudus, rhinos, gerenuk and birds. The morning and afternoon game drive sessions guarantee you sights of diverse animal species, and then you get back to chill at the lodge.
Day 10: Depart
Enjoy a morning breakfast and after, set off for a morning game drive through Tsavo East NP. Encounter diversity animal species including predators and after, you will head off to Nairobi to be dropped off at a hotel or airport for departure.
